Born on December 27, 2003, Dawson was known for his passion for hockey, his dedication to his teammates, and the positive attitude he brought to every locker room and classroom. His sudden passing has left family, friends, teammates, coaches, and classmates devastated.
Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Dawson was a graduate of Eden High School and a first-year student at Redeemer University, where he continued to pursue both his education and his love for hockey.

He previously played in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) with the Pelham Panthers, where he developed into a skilled and dependable forward.

During the 2025–2026 season, Dawson enjoyed a standout year with the Redeemer Royals, recording 11 goals and 31 points in his first season while appearing in 21 games.
His outstanding performance earned him the honor of being named the Royals Hockey Rookie of the Year, a recognition that reflected not only his talent but also the impact he made on the program in a short period of time.
