Queensbury and Lake George Communities Mourn the Loss of Beloved Veteran and Gym Owner Israel Deltoro
QUEENSBURY, N.Y. — The Queensbury and Lake George communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Israel Deltoro, a beloved father, son, brother, friend, Navy veteran, and fitness center owner who passed away on Sunday following a tragic incident, according to his family.
Israel’s passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family, friends, clients, and all who knew him. Remembered for his generosity, dedication, and commitment to helping others, he built more than a business—he built a community where people felt welcomed, encouraged, and inspired.
As the owner of ADK Fitness, Israel dedicated himself to improving the lives of those around him. Whether coaching members through their fitness journeys or offering words of encouragement, he was known for leading with compassion, humility, and genuine care.
Beyond the gym, Israel proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran, a role that reflected his lifelong commitment to service. Those closest to him say the same sense of duty and selflessness he demonstrated in uniform continued throughout his life as he devoted himself to his family, friends, and community.
A Community Comes Together
Loved ones will gather to celebrate Israel’s life on Thursday, July 23, with services beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Saratoga National Cemetery.
Following the service, family and friends have invited the community to gather at the gym for a reception in Israel’s honor.
In a message shared with supporters, the family wrote:
“Please join us at the gym on Thursday immediately following the service for a reception in honor of Israel Deltoro. All are welcome as we gather to share memories, offer support, and celebrate Israel’s life. If you would like to bring a dish or dessert to share, it would be greatly appreciated, but your presence is what matters most.”
The invitation reflects the welcoming spirit that defined Israel’s life—a man who always valued people over possessions and relationships above everything else.
Tributes Pour In
News of Israel’s passing has prompted an outpouring of tributes from across the region, with many remembering him not only as a successful business owner but as a mentor, motivator, and loyal friend.

Many community members have echoed those sentiments, describing Israel as someone who made everyone feel like family. Friends have remembered his unwavering positivity, infectious smile, and willingness to help anyone in need. Clients have spoken of the confidence he inspired in them, not only through fitness but through his encouragement and belief in their potential.
For many, ADK Fitness was more than a gym—it was a place where lasting friendships were formed under Israel’s leadership and where countless lives were changed by his kindness.
A Lasting Legacy
Although his life was cut tragically short, Israel Deltoro’s legacy will endure through the people he mentored, the family he loved, and the community he helped strengthen.
He will be remembered not only as a respected business owner and proud Navy veteran but as a devoted father, loving son and brother, faithful friend, and compassionate leader whose impact reached far beyond the walls of his gym.
As Queensbury, Lake George, and the surrounding communities grieve this profound loss, they also celebrate a life defined by service, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to others.
The thoughts and heartfelt condolences of the community remain with Israel Deltoro’s family, friends, the ADK Fitness family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
